Geometry in Depth 2027

About the workshop

Geometry in Depth is a workshop series that gives graduate students and researchers in related areas the opportunity to go beyond what one normally learns from a regular conference. Invited speakers present two-part lectures, first giving an introduction to their research and then following up with a more in-depth lecture, with plenty of discussion afterwards.

Topics span a range of research areas, including algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, and representation theory, as well as their applications—particularly to theoretical computer science.

Format: There will be four two-part talks, with each talk totaling 90 minutes (45 minutes for each part). The first part will be introductory and will establish context for the research-focused second part. The workshop will also include an open-problems session and time for discussion.

There is no participation fee, but participants must register for the workshop. Limited support may be available for graduate students and early-career researchers.
